iVerify Malawi verified the content of Nkhwinimba Online Facebook post and concluded that it is false. To arrive at this verdict, iVerify Malawi interviewed Martha Kwataine on the issue, and she dismissed the claim that she has moved out of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP). While emphasising that she is contesting on an independent ticket as a Member of Parliament for Dedza Boma Constituency, she is still a bonafide member of the MCP. In a Facebook Post she also said she is campaigning for her constituents to vote for MCP presidential candidate Dr Lazarus Chakwera in the September 16 elections. Kwataine said the claim is just mere propaganda by her political opponents.
